  • Heidi Brackebusch, RDN

Heidi is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and former wildland firefighter. She is passionate about helping athletes learn how to dial in their fuel for arduous jobs and backcountry adventures, but also navigate day-to-day life and promote longevity.

Her years working as a wildland firefighter and interest in food and nutrition led her to pursue degrees in food science (B.S) and dietetics (M.S) at the University of Idaho. Throughout this time she worked as a fireline researcher, studying personnel health, physical performance, nutrition, hydration, and environmental exposures. Her education in food and nutrition coupled with seasons on the fireline has given her hands-on experience training and fueling for fire season prep, performance, and recovery.

She feels inspired to serve a population she considers her "people", striving to clear up misinformation and help fill the void of resources available to a unique group of tactical athletes. Heidi also works as a private practice dietitian with @v2pnutrition, helping people from all backgrounds prepare for and perform in the mountains.
